Here is some more bizarre news from the strange world of Holly-weird (albeit with a British twist): According to reports Lindsay Lohan is apparently wanted for questioning by Scotland Yard of the United Kingdom following the unexplained disappearance of a half million dollars worth of jewelry that was part of a photo shoot. Wow you know she is never in the news these days, lol. In any event the Investigators are searching for her (to interview her) after the jewelry was used in a photography session shoot for Elle Magazine with the actress. Following that said session, the jeweler in question apparently determined that the jewelry was gone. While she has often been known to keep her attorney busy, this (if true) is one for the books. All in all, the representatives for the magazine have stated they have no knowledge where the missing jewelry might be. It is also reported that Lohan’s representatives have not responded to the jeweler or to the magazine editors. At this point in time, it is not clear if the missing items were copper or silver jewelry. For that matter, it could have been unique or even artisan jewelry.
As it stands now, it should be said that Scotland Yard has made pretty clear that Lohan is only wanted for questioning, and that there are several different suspects whom they are looking at. This is not the first incident in which Lohan has been involved with missing items, according to reports. For example, the famous designer Louis Vitton will not work with her. After a particular incident where samples of clothing were used for a photo shoot that disappeared, Lohan according to a stylist’s assistant placed them in her bag several times. The assistant repeatedly took them out and at the end of the shoot Lohan walked out with them.
In another sign of the rather troubled economic times that we live in, actor Stephen Baldwin’s foreclosed house near New York City will be publicly auctioned.
All in all, he bought the house for $515,000 and it is about 1.4-acres in size. It is located in Rockland County (out in the suburbs of the city) and was purchased back in 1997, back when his acting career was somewhat hotter. He tried to sell the house several years ago to no avail. The credit crunch has made refinancing quite difficult. Sadly for them, county court records confirm that he and his wife defaulted on almost a million dollars in payments to their mortgage holder. That mortgage holder in question is the Bankers Trust Company (isn’t that the name of all of them?). The bank auction is set to begin on June 24. They might have offered some sort of credit counseling first. A spokesperson for the actor could not be reached at this time. The actor has starred in movies such as the comedy “Bio-Dome” with Pauly Shore, and the mob drama “The Usual Suspects” starring Kevin Spacey as a Hungarian gangster. More recently, he has appeared on reality tv programs like “The Celebrity Apprentice” starring Donald Trump and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” As if this little news story, symbolic as it may be, is not a bad enouph economic and housing indicator, it was recently reported that de-facto “bank ownership” is at an all-time high and owner equity is at an all-time low.
At the end of the quarter one 2009, the equity portion in houses was only 41.4% of their complete value. To put this another way, the mortgages outstanding on all houses in the nation were 58.6% of their complete value. According to various news sources as diverse as the new York daily news and the Catwalk Queen, an apology by bratpacker actor Kiefer Sutherland may be enouph to keep him out of any criminal trouble at least untill the next time he gets in trouble.
In addition, it also appears to be helping out his acting career. in the wake of his apology, Hollywood filmmaker Joel Schumacher has apparently made up his mind to let Kiefer stay in his film. According to the respected ‘new York Daily News’ online newspaper, an insider confideded that the sometimes troubled actor is very glad to have kept his job and that he now wants to stay out of trouble for good. The timing of this is probably no accident and his lawyer was apparently a big help in brokering a deal.
In addition, the victim in question probably appreciates whatever private deal he has made with the star, which will probably lead to the charges being dropped when they go to court on the summer solstace of June 22.
